Huh, I guess I noticed a little of that when Pop and I went past Montana, maybe... very noticeable on an aircraft, but sea level must be interesting. Maybe more salt (softener) in the water? Hm, kinda unlikely, just strange that years ago I heard their water was so crappy, beer was the only safe thing to drink... I can't be that old. Might've gotten confused with France, they had to privatize their water supply in teh 70's, it really was that bad...

How was the water quality? Shame our cousins are so banal, wonder why. Thanks for describing the landscape a little, no idea why that should fascinate me.
Even after the head gasket melted away (solvents in the gas when Pop was alive, then I added some fuel injector cleaner on a half tank, likely the cause of the problem) I've got this problem with turning at low speeds, like to park... where the ABS kicks on and does not slow the truck down... and that's how the brake line burst, from me pressing on it hard. Turns out Chevy and Dodge brake lines are really prone to getting eaten by that liquid salt/brine they spray on snowy roads.
I've heard the same from others, but they added some new fuel for the griefers; missions to collect and sell crates, max 4 per 'organization' Sure is a mirror for our consumer culture...
The bugs, hackers, free mode hooligans kinda appeal to me, real life is about the many ways things can go wrong or epicly right, and I'm still finding them there. Also cool to talk to foreigners, met a bro and sis team from north Ontario that have a mid-western Wisconsin accent, but with a healthy mix of Irish, sounds much better than the nasal cheese eaters permeating radio and TV in the States

The water seemed like it was less hard than back here; It really is a wild experience when you can tell you're at a different latitude and have a much smaller horizon around you on top of that.
