Starting off with some pretty entertaining frankie gameplay xD
About damn time for a new post-- Taking another look at the rig, with which I induce ear-bleeding and horrible feedback.
Guitars:
American Vintage '65 Jag
-Beautiful tone; Some schematic shit was imprinted on the plastic covering the pickguard when it arrived, as if it was being written upon (Looked like something to do with the pots)
MIJ Special HH Jag
-Damn fine guitar, the dragster humbuckers sound a little cheesy clean, but scream like nobody's business with some hefty gain.
Yamaha EG112 (50 bucks at a thrift shop)
-First time I plugged this one in and switched the amp on, it started making some horrendous noises (output was corroded) Sanded it up, threw some new strings on, and peeled off some masking tape ('Dafuck?) that someone had placed on the fingerboard in order to label notes-- Worked like new.
-Currently resides on my desk, taken apart, awaiting the day I decide to modify it.
FSR Ebony Stratocaster
-First electric, haven't picked it up in a while, may record something with it soon, after recording with the '65 jag of course.
And, of course, the generic yamaha acoustic of no name; I intend to utilize it in some future recordings, instead of just switching off my amp and abusing the HH Jaguar lol
Amps:
'65 Deluxe Reverb
-The workhorse of my amps, 'n shit. It's just awesome.
-Swapped out the stock speaker for a smaller one that naturally distorts at lower volumes
Mustang II (V.1)
-Decent for practice, high level of preset effect customization, nice loud speaker, et cetera.
-Tried running some conventional pedals through this pup once, didn't work out too well.
Behringer GMA106
-Little 10watt with built in overdrive, decent practice amp.
Pedals:
Current board: Vox (v847?) Wah, BBE Green Screamer Overdrive (Replacing my poor broken Ibanez TS9 for the time being), Dunlop - Way Huge Swollen Pickle (Awesome name for a fuzz pedal, am I right?), BOSS CS-3 (Compression Sustainer), Electro Harmonix Small Clone (Chorus), BOSS DD-7 (Digital Delay)
Laying around: Octavio Fuzz (Sucks the juice out of the daisy chain and kills all of the pedals unless it's got a fresh 9v in it), Dunlop rotovibe, TS9 (Busted up for the time being), Some tuner pedal, and more!

Yyyeah, figured as much.. the day I saw the first scrolling banner ad here, and it was that game? Has to be jinxed somehow. Very sorely tempted to buy Borderlands 1, but.... it's on torrents.. would've even run on my 2.4 single core (barely) might as well wait till I get the parts.
Kid minding the store was in Intel-man, but in the course of perfection seeking and ooo-hoo-hoo! gameplay, we all brothers... besides the modern Intel chips are pretty smoking if a bit pricey.

Last time got uber lucky with a 30$ special back in the day and worked fine, just fine, even with Fallout and Crysis... think it was a cheapie geforce 7300 gs, but it couldn't hack the l&l of GTA IV

Thanks man. Yeah, gonna put something together for about 500... got a half decent case and a 650 watt PS, but the rest of my odds and ends aren't going to cut it in a new system.
Worse comes to worse, I'll haul the box somewhere and plug it into the net, bleh, but it's gonna be a while before I can trust win7 to the internet elements (via wifi)
Beacon and FPS/RPG deficiencies are not a laughing matter :| I know you know wat I'm talking about.
With the right parts, it should be a gaming beast lol

Yes... yes that's true. Guess I'm just lazy to go info hunting again. Last one I built took me almost 3 hours, but the choices on HW took many more hours than that.
Questions: If I buy windows 7, can I keep them (MS) from accessing my computer? can i still use torrents, mount drives and do other sketchy things? can I install win7 without validating online?
Yeah it's the selection of parts that takes the most time and research. Been looking at a whole bunch of configurations, and for around 500 or so you could build a nearly-top-of-the-line gaming computer
I've got win7 and manage sketchy things like those you mentioned (specifically) just fine-- I'm not sure about that last part, as I took the pansy-way out with the prebuilt laptop, preinstalled win7 deluxe home edition and all that shit.

Don't have a real PC or console game, but I have to play mass effect and some other scifi shoot first games... really debating on if I should build a PC, buy a stuck together one or just be a pussy and buy a console.
Building your own PC will get you a higher quality one for cheaper than you'd pay pre-built-- Slightly more expensive than a console though for a nice gaming pc.

Yeah, but not as big a downer when I checked her page... turns out something very similar happened to her a few weeks before the video came out.
